Haryana is the Indian state located in the North. Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan are its neighboring states. The Indian mythology says that thousand years ago Lord Krishna preached the Bhagavad Gita here in Haryana. The state came into existence in the year 1966. The capital of the state is Chandigarh which is also the capital of Punjab. The strengths of the state are its well developed telecom and transport infrastructure. Haryana is also famous for cultivation of basmati rice and other dairy products. The tourism department has well planned to have a tourist set up with good number of hotels and restaurants. It is also a matter of pride for the state that it ranks first in the country in the production of cars, motor cycles, tractors, GI pipes, sanitary wares, gas stoves and scientific equipments.
