Jammu and Kashmir is the northern most state of India. The state is mostly lying in the Himalayan region. The state has two capitals; Srinagar is its summer capital and Jammu is its winter capital. Kashmir is celebrated its scenic beauty. The natural beauty and the climatic condition is what have made it a notable tourist junction. The snow caped mountains, green meadows and the valleys are the center of attraction. The place is also known for handicrafts and textiles which is one of the main occupations of the Kashmiris. Jammu and Kashmir is the only Muslim majority state in India. The official languages of the state are Kashmiri and Urdu. A small percentage speak Dogri as well.
